Congratulations to our September Ace of the Month, Dustin Falk!

Dustin has been an employee with the City of Atchison for 12 years and is currently our Fleet Maintenance Mechanic. Dustin is also on the Employee Appreciation Committee and always volunteers to help wherever he is needed.  Dustin received the following nomination from a co-worker:

“Dustin Falk voluntarily worked for 9 hours on a water main break to cover the personnel shortage that our D&C department is experiencing.”

This is just one of the examples of how Dustin has been filling in and helping other departments. Dustin will receive the coveted Ace trophy for the month of September as well as a $50 gift card. He decided to donate that money back to the Employee Appreciation Committee.  We are lucky to have you, Dustin!

Special shoutout to Chris Contreras and Bill Smith! Chris also came in and worked that same water main break to help the D&C crew. Bill, who is the D&C Superintendent, came in to help even though he was on vacation.  Thank you both for all you do for the City of Atchison.
