New Community And Economic Development Director Joins City Of Lansing

The city of Lansing has hired Joshua Gentzler from Leavenworth as its new Community and Economic Development Director.

Gentzler will lead the City’s efforts in land use, planning and economic development. Most recently, Gentzler served as a planner with Leavenworth County. He is a member of the American Planning Association (APA.) In 2018, he received a New Horizons award from the Kansas Chapter of the APA.

Gentzler has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Thomas Edison State University. He has a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Kansas. Gentzler enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with his wife and children. He will start with the city of Lansing on March 2, 2023.
