NOTICE TO RESIDENTS IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD SURROUNDING LFM PARK

The City of Atchison has hired Governmental Assistance Services (GAS) to conduct door-to-door surveys in the neighborhood surrounding LFM Park. The purpose of the surveys is to qualify LFM Park for a Community Development Block Grant opportunity. GAS will begin survey activity the week of October 17th. Potential park improvements could include the installation of a splash pad, the addition of lighting for the basketball courts, the replacement of the picnic shelter, new park benches, sidewalk improvements, playground updates, and accessible parking improvements. GAS representatives will identify themselves and ask a short list of household questions. The financial information obtained is strictly confidential and will not become public or be shared with the Atchison elected officials or staff. No names will be attached to any surveys. Please note that this is separate from the US Census, and your cooperation in this survey is vital to future funding opportunities in our community. Thank you for participating in this valuable process.
