Cost of college went up for all students at the University of Saint Mary

Tuition and fees rose 3.9 percent for 2018-19 at the University of Saint Mary, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kansas students paid $28,810 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,090 more than the $27,720 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 99 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 143 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.7 million and 121 students took out student loans totaling more than $836,329.

Including all undergraduates (1,254), 512 students used grants or scholarships totaling $9.1 million, and 501 students took out $3.4 million in federal student loans.
