In April, the Basehor Police Department had coins minted to recognize Autism Awareness Month. Those coins sold out over the month they were offered and all of the money collected for the coins was donated to a local charity that provides families, mostly affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, with the services they need to succeed.

So for our second fundraiser this year, the Basehor Police Department has purchased challenge coins in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month which is October. The coins will be sold for $10.00 a coin, cash or check, with all proceeds going to a worthy local charity. And I mean ALL PROCEEDS.

There is a limited supply of 100 coins so make sure you get one quick! How can you purchase a coin? If you’re near and feel like dropping by and saying “hi”, bring a check or cash the department, 14610 Parallel Rd Basehor KS 66007, and purchase one. If you are a little too far away to stop by, you can send your check/cash by mail to the address listed in the previous sentence. If you are going this route, please call (913)724-3397 to ensure there are coins still available and we can get your name and address. Your coin will be set aside for seven (7) calendar days. Once we receive your cash/check, your coin will be mailed to you. If we don’t receive your payment within that time, it will return to the hopper for someone else.
