Census Bureau: 76.5% of people in Atchison County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 16,382 citizens living in Atchison County in 2021, 76.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 12,535 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 5,939 were male, constituting 47.4%, and 6,596 were female, making up 52.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Atchison County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 75.6%.
