Welcome Chancia Fairley, our new AHS Family and Consumer Science Teacher!  Some fun facts about Chancia are:

 She’s a songwriter.

She learned to ride a bike at 25!

She  was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society in College.

She was nominated for the Kansas Horizon Award as a first teacher in USD453.

She teaches because,  “I love seeing people “get it.” Seeing a lightbulb go off in a student’s head, especially after a while of not understand something, is such a blessing. To have helped a student understand something more clearly – whether it be about writing a proper paragraph or conquering depression – is a reward in and of itself! I teach because I am gifted to do it and I love the process of seeing students grow”

We are excited to welcome her to the Phoenix Family!
