Atchison County’s 15 coaches earned an average salary of $46,415 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the 15th highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Kansas post-secondary schools during 2022.

Atchison County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $55,414 on average in Atchison County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $38,540.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
